American Institute of Holistic Theology

The American Institute of Holistic Theology (AIHT) is a well-estiblished non-secular metaphysical school offering spiritual and religious education. It is the only non-accrediated metaphysics college with an “edu” domain name.   AIHT is a complete distance learning institute thus it has no traditional campus; it administrative office is at 2112 11th Avenue South Suite 520, Birmingham, AL 35205-2841. AIHT programs include Holistic Theology, Holistic Ministries, Holistic Health, Metaphysics, and Parapsychology for Ministerial Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD),Doctor of Ministry (D.Min), and Doctor of Theology (ThD).

According to AIHT, Metaphysics is a foundational backdrop for any interfaith ministry. Metaphysics is an aspect of spirituality that concerns the study of the nature of being, existence, time, space, and causality. It bridges the gap between science and faith. By studying metaphysical spirituality you can explore the development and enrichment of your own philosophy of true being.

As a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, AIHT has been granted a religious education exemption by the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education.  AIHT is not accrediated, as seeking a traditional accreditation “would require a substantial increase in tuition cost to our students as well as influence the focus of our interfaith curriculum” (as described in AIHT website).

AIHT graduates are eligible for ordination through the American Interfaith Holistic Temple.  AIHT also refers its graduates to Metaphysical Universal Ministries (www.spirit-mum.org) and Many Paths Ministry (www.manypathsministry.com) for ordination.

AIHT is a member of the following organizations, and it recommends these memberships to its students and graduates for opportunities of professional networking, educational enrichment, community service projects, inspired camaraderie, and/or group benefits:
